Keloids refer to small scratches, scars, and even bumps on the skin.
They’re composed primarily of type 1 or type 3 collagen. They’re formed as an overgrowth of granulation tissue on injuries that have already healed and gradually replaced by collagen type 1.

1. Lemon Juice
Being rich in antioxidants and vitamin C, lemon juice effectively helps in the treatment of scars, such as keloids.
Apply some fresh lemon juice on the affected area and leave if on for half an hour before rinsing.
2. Mustard Oil
Mustard oil can effectively cure keloids, thanks to its powerful anti-fungal properties.
Apply some of the oil on the area, 3 times a day.
3. Apple Cider Vinegar
ACV minimizes the redness as well as the size of your keloid.
Apply some ACV on the affected area, then massage it gently for the skin to absorb it.
Garlic averts the proliferation of excessive fibroblast, which causes keloids.
After rubbing some garlic oil on the area, leave it on for about 10 minute before rinsing properly.
5. Baking Soda
This is a great abrasive agent and skin exfoliator. Mix baking soda and peroxide (ratio 1:3) to make a paste.
Apply the paste on the keloid to accelerate the healing process and alleviate any inflammation.
6. Aloe Vera
This powerful herb heals damaged skin, alleviates inflammation, and moisturizes your skin.
Clean the affected area with warm water before applying fresh aloe vera gel.
7. Lavender Oil
Besides having skin rejuvenating effects, lavender oil has also proven to be efficient in healing scars.
Apply some of the oil and gently massage the area for a couple of minutes.
8.Sandalwood and Rosewater
While rosewater is an incredible skin toner, sandalwood possesses powerful skin regenerating effect.
Mix the two to make a thick paste. Apply the paste on the previously cleaned scar before going to bed.
Rinse the area in the morning.
Honey heals and moisturizes skin. Apply raw honey to the affected area before massaging the area gently.
This will prevent the build-up of dead cells, and also enhance circulation.
10. Fuller’s Earth
Mix a teaspoon of lemon juice, a teaspoon of rose-water, and a tablespoon of fuller’s earth to make a paste.
After applying the paste on the keloid, gently massage it until it softens.
Allow the skin to dry before applying another layer.
Give it about 15 minutes and then rinse with cool water.
